MLP - FiM: Best Day Ever (S1 E26) Reprise "Yay for Spike!"
As most of you know, I have been wanting to do a story with both Spike and Yosh together. Well, after much ado, I give you a super happy reprise to the final episode in Season 1: The Best Night Ever
The story takes place right after the Mane 6 sing "At the Galla". Spike is left alone after doing his best to keep everyone together and spend time with him. However, instead of ending up all upset and alone at Joe's Donut Shop, he gets a special visit from a friend from his past that changes the whole course of the story for the better.
I hope you all enjoy this delightful tale and find the special message of friendship that is learned to be just as good, if not maybe a bit better, than the original story. Also, as I did 95% of this story without any visual assistance, I apologize in advance for any tab or word errors as my screen reader can only do so much. :)

Hoo and ray! *huggles up* I'm glad you enjoyed the story. It truly has been a WIP in my head for a long time and I hope to do more with "alternate Yosh" in Equestria.
I hope you were able to ring in the New Year in the most super happy of ways, Zoomer! I got a surprise gifty from a friend that was actually an "official" Pocket Dragon DVD release. Apparently it has 12 episodes on it. I look forward to giving it a trial watch once my eye gets just a bit better. Who'd have thought such a thing existed? Moreover, it was found in a Dollar Store of all places! :)

You know, hearing Spike being thought of as "a little brother" was something I never thought of. I s'pose in such a case, Twilight would be less inclined to have him tag along and be more aprt to bossing him around and being all dominating as she can be. She cares about him, but also could see him as a pesky, baby brother who is ever there taking away from her and her time and, let's face it, older siblings always pester and leave out younger siblings. It's like an implicit law. *Shrugs* :)

This is definitely a neat lil' turnaround in the story. I know Twilight and the others care about Spike and each other, but he definitely got abandoned in that adventure, so it's nice he went out and fixed things himself rather than waiting for them all this time. (:

As for the episode, it always bothered me how Spike was so happy to do special things with his friends to have them all ignore him largely up until they ditch him at the palace entryway. He deserves more and I really wanted to create a cheery situation rather than the whole faux bar thing he had going at Joe's Donut Shop. :)

Interesting take on a good episode of My Little Pony. I always think most MLP episodes need a little more Spike in them, henceforth whenever I watch ep 26 I'll picture this story happening along in the background. Awesome tale Yosh. Also, it's cool to see an alternate Yosheo half-dragon/ half-ducky fursona sharing good times with Spike in Equestria! Can't wait for the next story you cook up.
I'm glad you liked it, my fluttery-friend. *crinklehugs* I have truly wanted to write a story in which was favorable to Spike for a loooong time. The whole dragon-duck hybrid is based on how, in Equestria, there is no knowledge of dinosaurs. So, I figured I'd go with what was known to make it 20% cooler.
A thought I had was to write about what it was like for Spike and Yosh to be raised for their respective masters. I'd go with the same take with Yosh's hatching as Twilight's as Dawnbreak Horizon hatched his mystery egg to find it a bizarre hybrid, but noteworthy assistant should he complete his schooling and be ready to fulfill Celestia's quests. :)
When you see Episode 26 from Season 1 again, let me know how believable this story is when it comes into play. It'd be neat to hear an honest take on whether-or-not this could really happen if Spike was given such an opportunity to reunite the ponies and get things more friendly for him. :)
