How Elarin progressed through time
I decided to do a small check on Elarin's late designs, and felt this is actually a weird yet interesting character development.
While I'm kinda taking a break (and working in TONS OF PROJECTS FOR MYSELF I HAD IN HOLD!), I decided to share this...
Behold for a small trip down Memory Lane.

1. Zytka Nalanov
Elarin was called Zytka. Let that sink in for a minute.
I just...never fully liked her design as a whole. Even though I loved grey!
That big tail...what was I thinking? It looks like an otter! or something that she is not...!
While I loved European Badgers, I just felt I wasn't using it right. Besides...that white stripe on the forehead. You can't explain that, she was born to be an American Badger. :P
2. Elarin's first appearence
As I said, I was tired of the blueish greys, and swatched to A TOTALLY EARTHY COLOR SCHEME.
While Zytka was at first an European Badger, I realized her design seemed to fit more an American Badger somehow. So I changed species.
I had a loooong inner conflict regarding the mane. While it looked gorgeous with Zytka, I felt that it would look awful on Elarin.
Thankfully, while slightly weird to see, it seemed to chime nicely enough with her new colors.
And regarding that little complain...Elarin had this tiny fox-like markings on her nuzzle. I don't remember why I used them on Zytka, but they stayed on Elarin. It just...seemed neat. But when I realized EVERYONE MISSED THEM, I gave up LOL
3. Elarin's current appearence
Far more chubby, strong looking. Added details like a tiny beauty mark on her left cheek. Her muzzle had this more American Badger like pattern, to finally stop feeling bad about that markings no one noticed LOL
Markings went crazy, and I realize that.
White palms and fingertips, and a little more work in her ears to explain the white rim on them.
Oh and look...it seems I actually let the mane grow in that reference sheet LOL.
These are details that make her design even more likeable for my taste.
^ Oh yeah, and I love this design the most!
