She is my next world tree rpg character: a mudi (a Hungarian dog breed).

She comes from a shepherd family, but had too weak build, so she became a servant of a mage. She had some talent, so she have learned a lot from him.. But after some better jobs as a promising novice of greater mages - thanks to a misunderstanding - she got falsely accused with thieving. The spellbinder guild judged her presence undesirable in the province, so she had to leave. Between you and me she got off cheaply.
She doesn't feel like she would like to begin a new life in an other province, and she met a wannabe bandit who told her a band is recruited near, and they needed muscle and magic too. She took a bow (it's useful for aiming some of her spells) and decided to join.
