This do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tati8ThMRQ4
Move ears, fade eyes and move tails
This version is inside a "TicTac" box with some buttons.
You can activate a manual control, ot the automatic.
It can move 4 eletric motors and more than 20 leds.
With 3 motors and 2 leds the baterry work for 1h~

Yes, it boils down to the power rating. 9.6watts. yeah, an hour for that is pretty good. I was thinking it'd be a higher power rating battery. have you tried lithium ion batteries? You get better energy density with those, that way you can go a bit longer. Also, is that with the motors constantly moving? Those servo's tend to stay powered the entire time they are being used, so I am not sure if there are any power saving things you can do with them, though maybe using mosfets to turn power on and off to the motors so that they are only powered when they need to move might help with power savings.
iI think in case of servoes keep moving its going to use less than actual method.
Because when you send a message to servo the eletric motor have to do an abrupt start, this consume A LOT. More than keep moving.
Also i can use an lithiun but are expensive, this one that i use cost 6u$ on ebay.
oh yeah, its hard to some one stay for one straight hour in a fursuit.
