as the title suggests, this is my take on applejacks parents. After I watched "an apple family reunion" and found out the two stars applejack see shooting across the sky were a tribute to her parents, i got thinking of how they would look

the female is named CandyAapple, or Candy or short and the father is Haystacks. Candyapple got her cutie mark from making blue ribbon winning candyapples at a county fair, and Haystacks got his by beinng a strong young stallion and helping move hay bales around a farm.

I know alot of people make applejacks dad a member of the applle family, but to me that just seems like incest, so he was married in. As you can see, all 3 siblings aqquire looks from their parents. How they met was Candy was "bucking" apples and got hurt while doing so. Haystacks, while working on the farm for money of his own, witnessed Candy getting hurt and went to help her. the two were nearly insepreable after that and started a family. Candyapple would be the daughter of Grannysmith

I assume they died when Applebloom was veeery young. My take on that is they were going to go sell apples at a near-by town or fair to get money for the farm. Candy sat in the wagon with the apples, while Haystacks pulled the wagon. As they travelled a narrow mountain path, the rocks gave way and they both tumbled to their deaths.

After the shock, Big Mac was givven his fathers riding tool, Applejack his lucky hat, and Applebloom was given her mothers favorite bow.

I picture Candy being the stern but kind and gentil mother, and Haystacks the more "child-like" out of the two, playing with his kids in the mud.

i know its a sad topic, but its the best i can come up with. I would imagine it was a loving tearful goodbye and the Apple parents are still watching their children grow into wonderful ponies
