Its not a Nikkor. that lens isn't one i actually own, but was inspired by a high-end 1000mm telephoto lens my neighbor has (who is a 30yrs experience professional photographer.)

That makes sense. Body’s come and go but great glass is kept for decades.

I think that my reaction to breaking that camera lens would probably be somewhere between what you pictured here and extremely un-manly crying over the broken remains. Of course, if it was someone else's fault that the lens broke (as opposed to my own fumbling), I'd probably be ready to leave some cracks in THEM first.

My dad makes a hobby of photography and owns some Nikon equipment, but nothing quite like THAT.

Oh, seeing that broken Telephoto lens sure made me wince.
