For Christmas I made ornaments for all of my immediate family (well, most, anyway....)
Micky Mouse and the "traditional" Disney cast has a special place with my family; our Grandfather (who left this world last year) loved Micky, and collected Micky Mouse memorabilia. My brother also loves Disney and Micky, and even has a tattoo of Walt drawing Micky Mouse on his arm. I am super-satisfied with this particular ornament, especially since I based it off of Steamboat Willie-era Micky and I think it shows even through the wool.

very nice and faithful work, this comes so close to the original design. :)
the german Disney comics publisher once brought large hardcover books collecting the early coloured strips themed after the main characters: mickey, goofy, donald, scrooge. the Mickey book also had an adorably made "how the animations come to be" tutorial, made with cutout cardboard stills in a 3D studio environment, where all characters from the comics and animateds explained who animation works. :)
