So I work at an arts and crafts store, and we sell these pre-felted items like bowls, phone-carriers, and tablet-carriers. I decided to try felting on them to see how it works.
Two experiments were to be "relief"-style (where they're only semi-3D), the other two would be "applique"-style (where they're just a 2D image on something flat.)
My dad travels a lot, but he loves to read whenever he gets some rare downtime on the planes. He has an e-reader so he doesn't have to carry fifty pounds of books along with all his luggage, so it seemed appropriate to needlefelt an "applique"-style design onto a Kindle Cover I bought from work. He also loves the Fallout series, so a Vault Boy cover seemed highly appropriate.
Vault Boy is © Bethesda Softworks (or whoever owns the copyright now. Lawyers and studios make things confusing for me)
