My family is pretty big - at least, big enough that it's never really been financially feasible for every family member to get a present for every other family member. For this reason the aunts and uncles always draw a name from a hat and get a gift for one person, as do the cousins.

Every year I make a gift for the cousin whose name I draw out of the hat. My first ten-year round I made Sculpey sculptures (usually Holiday-themed) for each of my cousins. Now that I've found needlefelting, I can start a new holiday tradition.

This year I needlefelt one of my cousin's dogs. Since she's away at college she doesn't get to spend nearly enough time with her doggie, who has to stay home with her parents (my aunt and uncle.) I thought it would be nice to needlefelt a little plush of her dog, so she can always have a little piece of Magpie with her.
