I finally gave up and made myself a new cell phone case out of leather. My old case had had its zipper destroyed and fixed one too many times, so I decided to make something I could point to when people ask what sort of art I do.
Its one solid piece of leather stitched with copper wire. The closure is a nice little piece of wire work, rather like one of my wire twist earrings. The pouch is held on my belt loop with an Aluminum clip attached to a length of chain, since that's how I wore my old cell phone case...clipped to my belt loop. While I usually consider Aluminum an imposter and not metal, I swear by these clips. If one can survive me while on my keychain they can survive anything...oh and buying them helps support a GREAT local pet store so its good all around.

I am thinking of offering these as a commission item with a number of possible features (mine has a business card holder built into the back, for example). Note me if you are interested.
