There's a story about a Raichu that lived with a retired Pokémon champion. With lingering curiosity of human society, he eventually requested to be released back in the wild so he could explore on his own. He would slowly try to integrate himself with the lifestyle of humans to the point where he couldn't really fit in with humans or Pokémon.

That said, he continues to satisfy his curiosity through adventures and tough battles. His main goal is to earn all the gym badges in every region on his own. His endeavors would not go unnoticed, inspiring other Pokémon to follow their dreams.
