Fiona stirred slightly in her sleep whimpering a little as the nightmare washed from her body.
Koku squeezed her softly nuzzling her awake
"Fiona... you can't keep doing this." Koku whined cutely nuzzling up against her.
Fiona smiled as best as she could shaking the remains of sleep from her.
"It's okay hatchie... Everything is okay." She said quietly holding Koku's hand in hers.
"No... it's not." Koku said her eyes narrowing softly as she reached over to the bed-side table; she pulled out a brown paper parcel tied up untidly with string.
"I was going to save this for your christmas... but there's something I want to tell you." Koku said sitting up in bed pokepestering Fiona until she did the same.
"You told me that you couldn't be my puppy, but that's just being silly, you are my puppy, you will always be my puppy, no matter what I will always love you." Koku beamed happily pulling out a small collar for Fiona.
"B..b...but..." Fiona stammered her cheeks blushing a little. "Honey...I..I.."
Koku smiled patpating Fiona teasingly, "You do love me riiiiiight?"
Fiona nodded right away, not even needing to think about it.
"Well I love you too, both as my mommy and as my puppy." Koku grinned sliding the collar on around Fiona's neck.
Fiona sat very still feeling the tears stinging against her eyes as she was totally overcome with joy.
