Work in Progress. Inking of an old sketch I had done. This is mainly to test out various ink styles with my new Art Rage 3 program.
After testing out various presets I have a roughly 32%Smooth with a 25%Taper. I'm still not satisfied, and need to practice more. I'm thinking of not continuing with this image but starting anew so I'll leave this in my regular folder.
Need to hunt down some furry artist friends who use digital inking programs and watch their drawing more closely.

Pro: I enjoyed figuring out a minimalist approach to indicating he has many feathers on his arms.
Con: I don't like the foremost goggle. Too dense of a circle.
Pro: The patch I made is cute! Wasn't in the original sketch.
Con: I don't like how the "taper" option tapers both sides. I'd rather have the option to choose which side tapers. That being said, the easy out is to just overdraw the line and then use an eraser.
Pro: I feel like I can draw a comic.
Con: I need some coloring skills. Aside from Al Mackey's turtorial from the early 00s, I've not really tried out other options. I would love to create a watercolor like effect on the computer.
