This is a piece of Vipera Vixen from my long torso era of several years ago. While it is from a dream I had I am fairly certain it was influenced by Masumume Shirow's "Ghost In The Shell". Especially the opening for the Japanese video game that was making rounds on the animation forums at the time. I still think the color and lighting worked out very nice and I pulled off a couple things in color pencil for the first time in this piece. In particular the use of the electric eraser to lift the some of the pencil to create the long tendrils of steam/ venting gas. I was also very glad I'd done Rosemary the Barbarian first because it had taught me how to handle the transtitions between warm and cool without getting mud! I'm also still pleased with the reflected color of the monitor off outfit. On the downside, some of the outlines are a bit too strong and dark and I didn't carry off the effect of the "Occupied" signs very well. I have issues with the perspective and lighting on them.
