You have the makings of a good story there! You should write it as short story or novella. Does he endure is endless loneliness or risk finding someone and being rejected or hurt. Its that element of risk that the drama comes from. Who knows? Maybe he will find a special someone who is also a unicorn in disguise. The he can find that very special somepony.
