Kitty got claws!
I had felt like some of my work had been getting a little bit 'toony, so I decided to draw this based on the Khajiit piece from earlier this year for something a little more semi-realistic.
I was also a little inspired to begin drawing this when looking over some of Qzurr's gallery, which is worth checking out and can be found here; http://www.furaffinity.net/user/qzurr/

You mentioned Qzurr as an inspiration, well, when I was introduced to the fandom almost 3 years ago, the first artist I found that others used as a comparison was Qzurr. One line that stuck in my head was "I'm no Qzurr". I checked out their gallery and it was that, I believe, that inspired me to start drawing again. From that time on, their work has been what I would look at for inspiration to improve and my resent attempts at graphite work are absolutely attributed to Qzurr. My lack of graphite skill, I realized, was holding me back and the perfection of Qzurr's work is what someday I hope to achieve.
I don't think you could have picked anyone better to gain inspiration from!

Thanks you very much for the kind words, it means a lot to me. Especially since I have been pretty proud with how it all turned out!
You may have thought that you were no Qzurr back then, but people get their inspiration from all manner of sources, and your own work has the same effect. Your efforts in improving your own skills has only made your work better and give inspiration to drive others to do the same. One of the things that I enjoy about joining an online comminuty such as this.
As for commissions and such, I am happy to talk about it some more. I dont have much experience in it, but I always aim to create what is asked that will be a fair price.
Also, I had no intentions of selling this piece either. How much do you think it is worth?

What is it worth? There are so many variables. What size is it, how much time do you have into it, what do you feel it is worth to you personally? I am going to start to sell some of my graphite pieces at some cons coming up and I'm going to see what people are willing to pay. I have bought a number of graphite pieces at cons and I can give you some examples of them and what I paid for them. The following 2 I purchased from Myenia at AC. http://sta.sh/22bub39a9u9r The left I paid $30 the right $65. They are both 11 x 14. Your piece falls somewhere in between in my opinion. The price is ultimately up to you though.
I love graphite with a passion and there are a handful of artists that do graphite work in a style and quality that is easily recognizable that I greatly favor and yours is one of them. I most definitely want to get a piece or 2 from you and if not the one featured here, something similar. Feline, full body perhaps, nicely detailed attire and accessories. 8.5 x 11 to 11 x 14. You did an especially beautiful job with her face and hair! <3
Think about it and note me. :)
