Dusk Nova, along with other hobbies, enjoys capturing ponies of all races to experiment on. Continuing with her belief that all races are imperfect short the Alicorn. Thus she strives not only to perfect herself, but to find ways to perfect --or even exterminate-- the other races. Though she's clever about her methods, she knows her bad leg would make going full-on genocide near impossible, even if she mastered her 'additions'. So instead she abducts them one to two at a time to test on for months on end. Usually she looks for the 'defective' ones, any missing limbs or with sickness-- and especially ones closest to her coloration. After all; What is an Alicorn but a symbol of purity and power? Not some stitched-up rag-doll!
