it's the 4th doctors coat he started wearing in season 16 episode 17; "The power of Kroll". It seems kind of silly since I knit the Shada scarf to wear a season 16 jacket but I just really really like the season 16 jacket! Ooh and I would love to have the cute matching one in pink and white one Romana wears after her second incarnation.

I vaguely remember Doctor Who (Baker) wearing that coat you pointed to. He seemed to wear it so well that it did not seem out of place. However, of course, if one can travel backwards and forwards in time and place one can pretty much wear whatever one fancies.

The same can be said for Romana as well. Never shabby or odd in her choice of apparel (or at least the apparel that was chosen for her by the series’ costume designer at the time).
