I'm such a sucker for the drafters, and there aren't enough percherons out there. This is beautiful; the delicacy of the mane and the thistles contrasts perfectly with the heavy head and muzzle. Your equines remind me of those in a series of books I had as a kid, the serpendipity books I think they were called.
Thank you for the kindness, dear; such an honor coming from you! <3 And I'm not surprised that you see a resemblance in my style to the Serendipity books, as they were my greatest artistic inspiration when I was young, and I had (and still have) almost the entire collection. I still love them as much as I did back then, and I read them to my own children now. :)
Aww, so sorry to hear of your book loss! :( I would be devastated if I lost mine (as I was when my art portfolio got water damaged and moldy back in '94)...Perhaps you can find some copies cheap at used bookstores and start building up a new collection bit by bit? They've also published some new ones that are really sweet. :) *snugs*
