This plate was commissioned for a gift. I was given a photo of the kitty, Snuggles, and tried to work from that one shot. The client wanted the cat's name on the front of the plate, so I gave him a stuffed toy to play with, and put the name on that.
The cat was fairly pale, so I added a bit more color, and had the cat looking at the viewer, instead of off to one side, as the original photo showed.
I hope the giftee likes it!
