Had to keep using 'Word count' to keep myself honest. So much to tell, so few words. I think the final count went over a bit.

it's a great way to learn refining. I hit 100 exactly and really had to rethink quite a few lines.

The hardest part was the 2nd and 3rd sentences. I've used 'semi-morphs' only once before and didn't know if I could get the idea across well in so few words. Once I had that it was smooth sailing, could even add a few extras in here and there.

100 words sharpen a story where every word has to be thought about and weighed for value vs economy. There is a strange, almost haiku like structure to this story that really works for this. This is so vivid in my mind and very well done.
