Wolf from West Prussian Pioneer Battalion No.17
Since there 100th Anniversary of World War 1 is coming up in the next few years, I decided to start drawing various soldiers and officers of the various nations that took part in the Great War. The pose and uniform are based on an image from a book that my father owns.

no no, that´s absolutely okey. It was not my intention to point out an error, just a mark that I noticed it. The German Imperial Troops reused many equipment. Usually the Landsturm Regiments were equipped with older Materials, but during the War, the lack of Equipment and Weapons forced the military to open the Arsenals and hand everything they got to the men. Like reworked Gew. 88/05 Rifles and the M1995 Ammo pouches.
I have several books and in one you got excellent paintings of the german soldiers, officers and their equipment. There is an explaination for all figures and what they are armed & equipped with. Also photographs showing the people from that time, Frontsoldiers of the german Empire and even of Allies of them.
