My old dentist used to have a parrot in his lobby who would stick his foot out through the bars of his cage and gently grasp hold of your finger, if you let him. Then he would just sort of stand there, apparently content to 'hold' your hand. Can't say as he ever bit, though he did shriek loudly from time to time.
