So a week or so ago, Telus Mobility had photography contest to win one of 5 HTC OneX+ phones. Now this is a phone I lusted after from the second it was announced so you can bet your ass I wanted to enter the contest.
The contest was called "Why I love my City" and we had to send a picture to Instagram with the hashtag #WhyILoveMyCity" with a small description of why we love the city we live in.
So I had taken this picture with my old as hell HTC DesireHD a couple months ago and decided to submit it. The photo has no editing, no post processing no nothing but the raw file taken by my cameraphone. I was walking through the park near my house and there were tons of leaves on the ground. I decided to get a picture of myself kicking them and this was honestly the first picture I took.
The reason I gave that I loved my city was the fact that we have just an amazing amount of parks and conservation areas here in Kingston and it means we get the chance to do a lot of walking and enjoying nature away from the busy life in the city.
Well it appears that Telus liked the picture because I was one of the 5 winners!
I will be getting a brand new HTC OneX+ in the mail very soon!!! I am so pumped.. I would have been jumping around my house with joy if it wasn't for the fact that I had just got back from the gym when I found out that I had won.
I never really win anything so this was quite the shock for me to say the least. I am so happy, I can't wait for the phone to arrive! I am also kinda bummed because now I have to set up and configure a whole new phone!

I will probably move this to scraps in a bit.. don't want the mods getting mad at me for posting something so obviously less then furry.

Hey! Totally late on commenting on this, but, you know the story. I've only seen this on your camera screen and the actual image on a larger screen looks all the better! Fantastic shot! Just goes to show that you can get awesome shots even with the most basic of cameras sometimes!
