GENERATION 3
These characters were created when I started having less time to create and more money to commission. The characters I created were meant to complement and beef up the characters I already possessed, giving the relationships a bit more depth.
Donald "Don" Rusko (lion)
Don is a straight tattoo artist and a close friend of Chance. He is not the extreme type, liking to enjoy the simple things of life like relaxing and doing artistic projects. He also prides himself in being a real man and a powerful breeder, cultivating several NSA relationships with women as well as a sexual relationship with Chance and Razak. Don, a bit like Chance, gives himself a gruff exterior to discourage buggers, but is a pretty sweet guy behind.
Jake Garcia (hyena)
Jake has been created for the catholic boys storyline, along the revamped version of Salem (See Generation 1). Jake is the hard-working type, having been raised in the mentality that you always have to put your best effort to deserve what you have. He is quite a bit more old school than Salem, and less tech-savvy as well, preferring to read a book or relax in a hammock when he doesn’t need to work. Jake is also the introspective type, often asking himself questions about what makes someone worthy of anything. Despite his move out of his highly-religious village to be able to assume his homosexuality, he still prays on a regular basis as a way to show God he hasn’t forgotten his lessons.
John Rodgers (Doberman)
I wanted an all-american name for this one. John was created to disrupt the balance in the catholic boys storyline, when him and his buddy Kyle seduced Salem into cheating on Jake. I thought this would be a one-shot character, but I liked the character and his interaction with Kyle enough to make them both fully official. John is a typical jock. He’s cool, savvy, capable and smart, and has a low tolerance for bullshit. The way he talks and acts is actually the closest to my own attitude.
Kyle Brylowsky (Dalmatian)
Kyle is John’s best friend and partner in crime. While the doberman is the cool, shady type, Kyle is the goofball, kind of mirroring the pair of Chance and Mark. Kyle is impatient and impulsive, and likes to act without thinking too much. He’s a canon that needs to be aimed, John would say. Kyle, like John, used to be more of a dork in high school, but he never let the mockeries get to him. In college, when he started playing soccer and became an athlete, he obtained the charisma to back up his antics.
I named him “Brylowsky” because 1. I wanted to contrast his name with John’s All-American one, Harold & Kumar style, and because 2. Like I said, I love American first names with foreign last names. “Brylowsky” was the name of one of my classmates in elementary school. Plus, did you notice how many people have east-european last names, yet look and sound completely American?
