I think if you're unable to tell a complete story in 26 episodes - which is, what, 52 hours of footage? - then it's obvious that you're a pretty shitty storyteller and I don't think you should be given additional chances to explain your pretentious mindfuck of a plot. (Also, perhaps if you hadn't WASTED ENTIRE EPISODES ON DOING NOTHING EXCEPT SHOWING THE CHARACTERS GOING UP AND DOWN ELEVATORS OR SITTING IN TRAINS THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE RUN OUT OF TIME/MONEY FOR ACTUAL STORY).
I resisted seeing the movie for years because of that, but they finally forced me to see it and IT IS STILL DUMB.
ALSO ALSO, throwing in random Judeo-Christian imagery does not automatically mean you're deep

I love this place because even the man that is total gay with Eva and stuff admits that the show has a shitload of flaws going on

It's funny, because I loved Evangelion. That doesn't prevent me from recognizing how truly horrible most of the characters are in their own little ways. I wanted to punch Rei the whole time. And Asuka too, but that might have just been her awful English voice actor . . . I just don't see the attraction to Rei that everyone seems to have.
