B would be a pretty lonely (and frustrating) experience :( Kind of interesting, though, if you think about it. How would you buy things, anywhere from groceries to your house, if no one can tell you exist? Would you just pick a host and mooch out of their fridge and sleep on their couch? Hm..
Yeah, I know Bubs is a she :) But no, she doesn't come back :b http://watchmen.wikia.com/wiki/Bubastis http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Bubastis_%28Watchmen%29
Check this one out. This is the version where she comes back. Shes so sexy

the box, that is the walls of human society, that many, perhaps most people, fail to see or even look beyond, yet even here, as everywhere, there is that which has been forgotten that lives not only beyond it, but everywhere. unseen, because it is not looked at. not entirely impotent either. no wall really keeps it out. only allows us to forget it exists. natural reality is not dead, only forgotten. the soldure does not see it, the bizdroid does not see it, even the over specialized scientist doesn't always see it. yet among us it will always walk. blind as we so often are, it is also within us.
so let us walk unseen, that we may go about what needs to be, unhindered by those who choose to be blinded.

*chuckles* To be fair, I was working from a lot of stock photos, and the blurriness can sometimes add a level of realism because you can make small mistakes and things, and they sort of get washed away, plus you don't need to worrying about botching fine details as much. I actually often try to paint like this - getting it to look good "blurry" first before doing details, because usually if it looks good blurry, it'll look even better with the details painted on top :)
*nods* Yeah, it made sense as soon as it was brought up. Almost a similar concept in http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9403573/ , except obviously with a darker twist, where a person feels their true self is lost beneath the surface.
Anyway, I'm just glad people are able to find personal meaning and enjoyment in the image :)

Aww, wow! I'm very glad you like it so, that it is meaningful to you in some way. <3 That's the great thing about art, though, is you can interpret it however you want - it can be as much a reflection of the viewer as it is the artist or the person who thought it up.
Thanks a lot :)
Thanks a lot :)
Cheers :)
... heh, y'know, it's kind of funny. I was sort of afraid people (furries and animal fans in particular) would particularly dislike this image for all the humans in it, and the cold, sterile environment, that they would feel the rest of the picture somehow detracted from the smilodon, who's obviously the focus. But it turns out, furries/therians are the ones so far who've found the most meaning in it!

Open to interpretation is always fun.
I see this as the box that society tat has built around itself, built in ignorance, confusion, and noise. I see this as what society tell throughout our lives, seeing is believing, but not believing is seeing, as this tiger is believed to be extinct, but to look at nature is existence is very much real; sure the look is different through ancestry but the primal roots are still there. As in this case not the scientist, nor the soldier, or even the common person as they just walk on too consumed with daily life to see what is before them; be it, a real tiger, or only a ghostly echo of what used to inhabit the land before humans were around. To this I interpret also, that the tiger portrayed ins nothing more than a stray alley cat overlooked, bit it is what is on the inside that no man truly sees, or even rarer this is a therian the soul trapped in a human shell, another effect, that is so greatly over looked, image is great.

Awww, nice :) I always love hearing about the idea art inspires, or neat interpretations people have. You might be interested to know that there is, in fact, some amount of science behind the phenomenon you describe. I'm unsure of the term, but basically, when we see something that we simply aren't able to comprehend, our brain automatically tries to parse it in a way we CAN comprehend - like how we can see shapes in clouds, or swear we saw something moving in the shadows. Our brain automatically tries to make sense of things for us, and this can cause us to actually being misled by what we think we see.
As an aside, that's part of the scientific theory behind the Bloody Mary game - it is a very real and documented phenomenon that standing in the dark for extended periods of time, almost every volunteer in the studies conducted saw SOMEthing. I believe this particular example has to do with the Troxler effect, if you want to look it up.

Well I looked up the Troxler effect and it had t do with the ability to denotes color channels and as we have three cone, and other animals have more, and some less. Males are also more prone to color blindness than females to, because the color channels are a (X Chromosome) trait. Now I know this "effect" is based on neuron sensibility for adopting to situations but feel some of this also applies. An An Apparitions can be real Bloody Marry for example, mirrors like it or not are never 100% perfect and therefore can because of slight bending concentrate light. Thus what you yourself cannot see, becomes visible because of higher concentrations showing spiritual energy possibility; our brains just work that way. Tes why I would like to see this as supernatural in some way as well.

That's a bit of a stretch. But if you're interested in attempts at studying the supernatural, I can't remember any of the details unfortunately, but you should look up the experiment conducted by a (I think it was) Japanese guy who had a series of pure water blessed or cursed with different sentiments by monks, or something, and then froze the water and took photos of the ice crystals formed. This isn't strictly science persay, and doesn't PROVE the causal relations of the resultant ice crystals and the blessings, but it's interesting anyway, so long as you know how to take it with a grain of salt.

Personally, I actually read this title as if it where the comissioners fursona. How he actually views himself throughout day to day life whereas it is (Like many of us) hidden away. I presumed this was his place of work & how his colleagues are merely ignoring him, viewing him as just another person in the business where in reality; even though the animal itself is extinct it lives on within us. This is my favourite type of art, an inspirational image that brings the community together.
Beautiful artwork & I love the concept.

Oh, that's awesome :) I like the interpretation, too! It'd be weird if there were some sort of, y'know, silly magic lens or something that we could look through, even just once, and see the world, and what's reflected is a direct symbolic representation of who they are.
