The physical image was a sort of semi-automatic painting [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_drawing ] done using a mix of PVA glue and white poster-paint applied onto a piece of acetate transparency. When it was scanned in, it did not look too impressive to me, until I tried inverting it. Somewhat immediately I saw the presence of something which the title refers to: the lovers' kiss lifting the soul; while there is no freedom from the total 'samsara', the motion of their 'tensei' [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metempsychosis ] adds to the lovers' paths through the branches of karma.

It takes a while, but you may see what I mean. In any case, thank you for viewing. =)
