If Lestaryos have to land in rough terrain, they land with their hind legs first for a spot landing. On plain ground they often fly very close to the ground until the speed is low enough to land with a short gallop. Younger Lestaryos are known for practising their first landings on water – although it doesn't save them from crash landings.
