I was interested in trying to come up with an avian character or two... or maybe just for squadron logos, but anyway I figured I should try to figure out what a real bird's face looks like and shapes to use and whatnot so I did a little sketch using a photo for referance. I found out that contrary to my normal circle approach for an eagle's head the general shape is more of a sideways oval.
