This is a recording of my French aria segment of my senior college recital about three years ago. The funny story is, the first half of my recital was completely destroyed because the audio file started updating in the middle of recording me, and so all I have form my recital is the second half. Thankfully I have this aria as it was my favorite song I ever learned in school. Here, I play King Herod Antipas, sitting alone and drinking a potion which produces a vision of Salome, whom he begs to stay, because the vision is only fleeting. Also, because she would kill me for not mentioning her, that is Dr. Yuling Huang on piano, one of the finest pianists I know.
