My very first full sketch and concept for Vlad Magnus, the vampire and primary villain of Von Herling, Vampire Hunter.

He's a white wolf vampire from Klausenberg in Romania who has travelled all the way to Richten, Tennessee for fresh blood (literally).

Besides using reference photos of white wolves, I also drew upon the classic movie vampire and consulted photos of both Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee. My intent is to move away from the modern vampire depictions that show them as tragic and sympathetic creatures; thus, the classic movie vampire archetype is being used.

Vlad Magnus towers over everyone else (this is important since he's the bad guy) and he always has to have a very sharp gaze.

It's not bad...but I need to make him look more scary.
