I wanted to do something to try to break out of an art block, so ~Parahin on dA suggested a fire/lava rat. It had to be cute and cuddly and like smoked cheese (he does indeed). So then I thought of the idea that he's usually fuzzy, but then when he gets mad, he like erupts and catches on fire, and then it makes him all nekkid and stoney, so then he gets even angrier, which doesn't help. And I guess lava oozes out his mouth too.
He'll grow his fur back though... eventually.

It's more of a creature inspired by a rat too, so it obviously doesn't have perfect rat anatomy.
