As you can see by the image FurAffinity is doing something funky with my photos, and I am not happy.
From now on my photos will be available in 2 places. My Weasyl, and http://photos.geostar.co.uk

If you compress the images yourself to 1280x1280 there's no issue with quality.
This is complaining about something frivolous.
It's to save server space since there's no reason to have a large file as the thumbnail.
Feels like you're complaining just to complain. Whatever, leave if you want.
It's being resized, and compressed as a JPEG to save server space.
Which I said.
No matter what ANYONE UPLOADS the thumbnail is going to be a lower res image. ALWAYS.
tl;dr - tough shit.
Fa Is making the uploaded images dull and without life.
Compression is NOTHING to do with this. This is changing a colour profile which is NOT mentioned anywhere on the site.
Didn't realise that IM has to strip the profile to do it's work.
But yeah. am agreeing that it really shouldn't do it o.o
"Note: Images larger than the maximum dimensions (1280x1280) will be resized down to the max. limit and converted to JPEG format. Even though the image will be transparently resized, it is advised that you resize the image yourself to meet FA's limitations before uploading it to the server."
I checked mine, seem perfect.
