aerak
alkoraDo I have your attention? Because I think there is a little bit of a misconception that I should clear up, and this picture perfectly illustrates it.
Yes, I do fursuit photography. That's why I'm out there. But that doesn't mean I scorn human subjects. Case in point, I approached these two friendly gentlemen for a photograph. Alkora, ever the courteous man himself, quietly stepped to the side so I could take a shot of Aerak. But, I find that discouraging. While I do want fursuit photographs, my biggest objective with photos is to capture happy memories. The epitome of this is having a person wrapping their arms around a loved one and smiling for the camera. This is their happy memory, and I was honored to capture it.
Really, if I approach you or your loved one and one of you is not in a fursuit, don't fret about getting out of the way of the shot. I'm happy to capture a loving moment between you two just as much as any solo fursuit shot. I think the photograph above has so much more substance than the solo shot I got of Aerak. That was just a pose. This one has meaning.
So give 'em a hug, smooch their muzzle, rub them behind the ears, or rest your head intimately on their chest. It makes the photo a million times better. Just don't leave. You belong there next to them.
