Sooo, i was bored last night tinkering with my Field Meat Cleaver I repurposed from an old ass beat up meat cleaver and it struck me. "How useful would a Combat Cleaver be and what would it possibly look like." End result of a couple hours worth of modeling last night and some touch up work this morning brought forth this. Its dimensions are a bit wonky but eh overall its still a beautiful design, or as beautiful as anything meant for doling out death can be.
It completely lacks any ability to stab, I decided against putting any serrated edges on the spine since its slightly curved but at least the blade is as per typical of meat cleaver sharpness. The weight of the blade should be good enough that a good swing should render any plant or victim is dispatched cleanly. I can sorta see this think having a custom leather sheath. And yeah I gave it a KABAR handle, end cap and custom crossguard.
Wish I had the means to make one of these, would be really fun to use it as a survival knife of sorts, though it'd just be an oversized meat cleaver that'd be good for a small handful of things.
I decided to measure out the lengths of the handle, blade, and over all lengths.
