Funny thing is that I really don't like Ryu at all- everyone else has learned userful new moves, but not him... As a Pikachu however, maaaaaybe I can learn to like him ^o^

so you like Vega huh? (Vega from the USA version I guess)
then guess what, it's one of my favorites too!
though I am more of the "play with all characters" kind of guy, but as favorites Vega easily is one, he's fast and has long range attacks, I usually don't use his special movements because his claw punches do all the work.
I have other favorites too, but they vary from game to game.
Zangief is one of my favorites only on the SF Alpha series because of his long and strong moves, also the lariat seems to last longer.
On SF 3 I could easily say Remi, yes, he's just Guile, but his movements are so soft (and too rigid for guile) and the fact that he can throw a lower sonic boom makes him one of my favorites.
BUT, I was talking about favorites TO PLAY WITH.
Favorites in character design are other more difficult matter to express right now, it's a though decision.

Ah yes ^u^ I choose a character for a much deeper reason than that though- A character who I truly love expresses who I am in a beautiful and elegant way ^.^ The main thing about all the characters I play as is that if you play them like any other character you will lose, because they aren't meant to act/fight/move like anyone else. Therein lies the greatness of such characters. The full list is as follows- SF- Vega MVC2- Omega Red SSB- Donkey Kong (Extras) MVC2- Blackheart MVC2- Shuma Gurath. I'm glad you like Vega too, might I add ^u^ People don't like him because he can't throw a fireball or do a dragon punch, but that was never the point to Vega anyway, you know what I mean?
Indeed. Also, I'm very proud to hear that you play as Zangief, he's what I like to call "unlucky". He has exceptional abilities and can crush most characters when played right- but even then he'll end up getting cheated by an uppercut and some low kicks. Kudos to you for having the courage to use him ^U^
