Just some interim input, four images before I make a larger Christmas update.
I was tempted to name this something like "I don't need no steeking bunnies" but thought better of it.
Before Steve Gallacci ever approached me about doing a comic together with his rabbit character, Beatrix, I had been working with a rabbit character of my own, Dixie LaPin. She was a girl who joined the Confederate army to be near her beau, but as is usual in such situations everything went wrong. After the war was over, she went west, and continued to be a tom-boy. This would be an adventure in the early 1880's, in Arizona or New Mexico I guess. The bandito missed, of course. I had a few story ideas for Dixie, and even drew a page or two of the first story as I recall. But doing comics was new to me at the time, and before I really got my shit together, Beatrix came along.

Who knows. Of late I've been trying to get away from mass producing generic furries (which is profitable but not artistically satisifying anymore), and return to my own material. It isn't easy though... I find it difficult to stick to the drawing board for very long, and the need to pull in a few bucks never goes away. Never.
I like that she is left handed, just as I am. This is a story that begs to be written, please do not toss it aside as nothing more than a temptation. My Devils Paw, also set in the 1880's, started out as a series of short vignettes, now it is a book awaiting final proofread before going to Amazon. Your story deserves at least as much and Steve Gallacci isn't likely to sue you for having a 'female rabbit' character as another artist is. Time passes, we have so little of it left, I for one would be honored to have a PDF version of this completed story.
Beautiful artwork.
