This dates back a way... In those days I tended to hint at mud & quicksand in art I intended to show anyone. There's just a sign, and no real indication she intends to do anything but leave after poking at it with her toe maybe. The only suggestion there's more to it is the open fly. But that was in the days where nobody knew there was a fandom for WAM situations. I wanted to be sure it would pass as just a picture of a sexy fox girl. For *that* I knew there was a fandom already.

If you are old enough to remember him as The Evil Grimace from the terminally ill McDonaldland comercials of old, you know Barney would have no trouble out smarting him. Even the dude playing Ronald McDonald was really playing down to Grimace. I am glad those ads are not still airing. Use Google to search for "The Evil Grimace" if you want some samples. I don't think those two purple guys would fight. Neither one seems to have any fight in them.
I was rather thinking of an obscure comic drawn some years ago in mockery of those ads - IIRC Grimace was the aggresser, attacking the Molestisaurus and grappling with him on the edge of a steep cliff. Not doubt some pharmaceutical assistance was required on Grimace's part. The artist apparently lost interest at this point, so we'll never know how it came out, like it matters.
The Imp of the Perverse, as first described by Edgar Allan Poe, seems to be somewhat more than a small influence - the tendency of people to sometimes do things not exactly in their own best interest can occasionally take some odd and fatal turns. Surely many of the characters seem to be good candidates for the Darwin Award at least. Posthumously presented, of course. ;)
The only bit I don't get about WAM, apart from the wet part, is the messy part. But what the hell, if it turns you on then go for it. Personally I'm into freezing, statues and immobility and I know there are plenty of people who don't get that either. (Just ask Portal of Evil. Sheesh.) So, each to his own, I guess. Just hope that submarine shows up soon.
