Valentine slipped Black Jack some Shrinking Violet, expecting a day of games and short jokes. After he was done shrinking, though, he didn’t seem in the mood for games, so she tried to “persuade” him. Unfortunately, she greatly underestimated just how strong Black Jack is.

A silly idea I have had for a long time, and finally got done by the amazing  PrettyPinkPony Although she seems to specialize in traditional art, we were worried how Black Jack would look done in water colors, so she went with a computer color (I’m also reluctant to get traditional art after a bad experience with an artist.) A scene exactly like this was going to happen in one of Exilo’s fic, but was cut in editing. A similar scene happens where Valentine is able to keep a shrunken Black Jack down with her hoof, only it takes all of her strength to keep him down. Holding her up now can be explained that he’s braced himself.

This came out so amazing. I am so happy with it. For the record, this is a canon example of Black Jack’s strength. I think the expression Valentine has is worth the price of the commission, though. Just the beautiful mix of shock and disbelief.
