Dear Apprentice,
Aside from getting to know your fellow students, you'll also have to become well versed in the proper care and usage of a number of magical artifacts. Many of these are invaluable tools for any witch or wizard, yet I'm sure you've never come across such things in your life outside the wizardly world!
To help you get off on the right foot, I've decided to include a section on common magical items here at the back of your first year primer. I hope you find it useful.
