A doodle done at my brother's house to pass the time. No access to my home tools available during the time of drawing, so this is done in ShiPainter. The colors used are from Vista's MS Paint Palette, however, thanks to ColorCop.

I thought this looked suspiciously like a Megaman character. The construction of the armour is amazing, something I always have trouble with. Having a solid underlying anatomical frame, and fleshing it out sensibly with a variety of shapes. The heavy shading on his front would justify a firey background, but the effect on its own is quite striking.
It was going to have a firey background, but I accidentally deleted the picture from the oekaki I drew it on...
The construction of his head may be wrong here, as the only character references I could easily find depicted him from three-quarter view and side view only. He usually has a flame atop his head, but I didn't plan the picture out well enough before deleting when I was trying to safety save.

That's exactly my gripe with oekakis: maintaining a decent connection and hoping the server doesn't suddenly drop out. Trust me, dude, this looks awesome as it is. I think adding a background would be overdoing it slightly.
I don't think you should be too concerned about the head looking like the original. I keep trying to tell myself this, but, as long as it looks right or pleasing to the eye, it's fine.
