And finally, my final Ceramics 101 project. We had to do a combination of the organic and mechanical abstraction ideas and make something. For some reason I thought of the part in the old Alice in Wonderland animated movie when she's walking through the woods and steps on that duck that looks like a bike horn.
Somehow that led to this.
I would really, REALLY love to make a series of toys based on this design. This year I leanred some basic mold-making techniques, so I'm not far off from doing it. I even have some concepts. ^^
Oh, and as for the different backdrop: the Audio Duck doesn't sit evenly because it titled forward in the kiln. This fabric is thinner than the one I typically use, so it was easier to get it to sit upright.
