Another past Ceramics project. After the organic abstraction we needed to do a mechanical one. In keeping up with the sound theme, I did an abstraction of one of my studio monitor speakers. This one used a technique called slab building. This is when you roll out flat sheets of clay (slabs), let them dry enough that they're a bit rigid, then put them together. This ended up being around the same size as my amphora.
