Daniel Sven is one of my more interesting characters-- but I guess that's just kind of by default considering his occupation. Serial murderers are hardly ever <i>not</i> interesting.

Daniel was conceived from the idea that I wanted a serial killer character that was more realistic-- but don't get me wrong! I absolutely love the creepy, lovable kinds of murderous characters =^^= I just personally thought it would be a challenge to make one that was more believable. It has certainly been a challenge too, because with that I have to ask other questions: Does he justify himself, and if so, how? How does he get away with it? Why does he feel the need to murder people? How does he act in normal society? And so on. It's been really fun, but it has indeed been a challenge. I've been working a lot on his character of late combining both my own imagination and knowledge I've gained from my college classes (my major is Criminal Justice). Last Spring Semester I had to write a research paper on the subject and I felt like I learned a lot about the mental workings of serial killers and used that as best I could to shape Daniel's personality. Don't get me wrong; despite my efforts he is hardly realistic in several ways, but for the most part a lot of his thought processes and actions are feasible.

I'm not sure if I quite pulled off the emaciated look, but I'll keep working on it -shrugs-
