After painting the "tin man" cicada, I couldn't help think that it sort of reminded me of Alphonse, from the Full Metal Alchemist. Which meant that I had to make him a brother. This one was painted to look like Edward. I find it extremely amusing that I made Edward a tiny bug.
A bit of a plus for this one is that it survived with all of it's limbs intact.

Last year tons of cicadas swarmed my home, so I collected quite a few of the left over shells. The shells were cleaned and painted, this is the result.
Something pretty cool about these guys is they still stick to clothing. You can still wear them even after they have been painted. I also figured out how to reposition them, so I can pose them any way I want to. I'll probably make more of these when I get another chance.
