Curious about the textured look of the flames in the background. Hope you don't mind me asking how you achieved that look?

ahh no, I don't mind ^^
Well first of I used GIMP to make this, I used a custom splatter brush and painted in low opacity. Layering it like an actual painting

That makes sense. You're very good at it, it definitely looks like a real painting. I ought to look into custom brushes one of these days so I can aim for something like that.
