Two characters from an rp story I'm writing with my roommate. They are jackal / Anubis inspired creatures and as different as... well, as different as black and white.

Aysia are an ancient race, rumored to be created as guardians of the Balance -the two sides of magic that influence all things. These two particular Aysia are Senkra and Thessa, a male Black and a female White.

Black Aysia are the guardians of the chaotic side of magic. They manipulate the elements and live in tribes that work to keep nature working in the correct cycle of creation and destruction. They are ruled by their emotions and known to be violent creatures but also the most steadfast and loyal companions or passionate lovers. Their magic is turbulent and unpredictable, often harming themselves in their use.

White Aysia keep control over the magic of Order. They deal in life energies and prefer to think logically, shunning emotions as fickle and useless. They are excellent healers but also terrifying fighters when every touch of their hands can rupture organs or shatter bones. They are reputedly more powerful than Blacks yet their magic is calm and easy to handle. They live solitary lives, unable to stand company of even their own kind and are rarer in number.
