Damn scanner f'cking up mah colors !
About one year ago, I replayed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and it really inspired me to create a gangsta character ! But since I also played Total Overdose at the same time, I wanted him to be mexican. An athletic chicano gangster, who'd have a particular talent with firearms (and especially handguns), hence his nickname.
At first, I called him "Diego" but I changed some days ago, before I drew this. You know why ? Because when I hear "Diego", I think of this guy : http://www.kidz-zone.com/images/abo.....orer/diego.png
...And when I hear "Ramiro", I immediately think of this badass motherfucker : http://gfx.gaminator.tv/data/charac...../632/632.3.jpg
So, yeah... Just to say a couple of words about his backstory, Ram' was born in Ciudad Juárez in 1972 (but keep in mind that the year of reference for this character is 1996; he's only 24) and crossed the border with his mom when he was ten years old. He's a high-ranked member of the fictious Los Angeles gang of "Los Perros Negros" and has been working for them since he was 16; he'll probably appear with more tattoos in the future but he considers them as the "body's memory": each one of his has a particular story and he'd never get one only because he thinks it "looks cool". I'll tell you more about that soon.
Anything more I could say about him ? Mmh... Yup, his mother was a prostitute and he has kept a particular tenderness towards them. Also, he never uses the words "hijo de puta" when he's cursing, neither does he feel offended when someone calls him that.
