it's an adorable little Pillarwyrm!
I think she wants a hug. but be careful not to startle her, she may bite you!

Tamarin Pillarwyrms are known for their near insatiable appetites, eating everything in sight. from plants, to clothing and even to metal pots and pans!
they seem like reckless pests, but all that eating is for a reason.

from the day they are born these uber-fluffy playful little tubes of blabbity-blahs are constantly eating. gaining at least 5 pounds every week for 6 weeks total. (they're born weighing 5-6 pounds already)
they then like to find dark, secluded places to hide themselves so they can spin cocoons and rest inside of them for an extra 3 weeks.

they change a lot inside of the cocoon, and finally on the 1st day of what would be the 4th week, they emerge from their silky beds as a large (39 inches long) , brightly colored butterfly-like critter with a wingspan spreading up to 6 feet across!

the normal lifespan for these interesting little monsters is pretty much about 9 to11 years max.
